Countdown: 9 days

On August 9th I will be leaving to spend a year in Switzerland with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. I am being hosted by the Rheinfelden-Fricktal Rotary club. Rheinfelden is the village where my first host family is. It is about 15 kilometers from the city of Basel. Basel is on the Rhine River, and it is close to the borders of France and Germany.

The red circle gives you an idea of where Rheinfelden is.

This is a view of Rheinfelden from above. It is an old town and (as my first host father would say) makes you feel as if you are in the middle ages. 

I am getting excited (and a little bit nervous) for my departure!
