Herbst Ferien!!!

Yay! Two weeks of no school! AND! I have a free pass to travel on any train or bus in Switzerland! I think we all know what I did during the holiday...

But first, I finally took a picture of my school. It's just a giant square office building.

INTERLAKEN

Riding up on a Mountain on this small train. Below is the inside of it. We rode up the mountain than walked back down. It was about an hour and a half walk back down. So a short hike according to Swiss standards.

Interlaken was pretty but it had so many tourists! I think that day I heard more English than German. Every other shop was a swiss souvenir shop.

Zurich

My friend from class, Petra and Valentina.

Zürich is the biggest city in Switzerland. We walked around, looked at shops, and in churches. We also went into a Swiss University. I stayed late that night and ate dinner with Semu and Christi.

I got everybody looking for four leaf clovers!

St. Gallen

 This church was huge!
Part of the side walk was made out of this red asphalt and so is this car.

We love our döners! I ate so many during the holiday! It's Turkish food. There are restaurants in every town. It's European fast food, but I think it tastes so much better than normal fast food like Mcdonalds.  I like to get the döner boxes. (as you can see above) It's meat, fries, lettuce, tomatoes, and some sort of sauce in a box. You can also get them in tortillas or bread.

Lucerne

There was a festival going on in Lucerne when we went. Of course I had to buy myself some Cotton Candy! There is going to be a huge festival in Basel at the end of the month! I am so excited! Everyone keeps saying how amazing it it!

I had an amazing holiday. Now I'm back in Rheinfelden. We're going to go see a movie in Germany tonight. We're going over to Germany to see it because it's cheaper than Switzerland and the movies are in German. In Switzerland they play movies in their original language with subtitles.
I'm so lucky to be in Switzerland and have the opportunity to travel. I went to many places over the holiday,  but Basel is still my favorite city.
